TRUE NATURE, TRUE ROMANCE

If this lovely spot is anything, it is truly authentic. Live at one with nature and from her bounty, surrounded by cypress trees, roaming sheep and olive orchards. Visiting Tuscany is like stepping back to a simpler time. Follonico is the perfect antidote for the hectic pace of city life, a place to breathe deeply and get back to the roots. Started 15 years ago, the inviting farm produces olive oil, grows wine grapes and keeps a kitchen garden. Horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens and geese are integral to idyllic country life here. Enjoy fresh baked goods every day, made with locally sourced ingredients, of course. Guests can pick their own vegetables in the open garden, taste tests encouraged.

The farm dates back to the 9th century and has lost none of its venerable charm. The modern bed and breakfast with exposed wooden beams, cool terracotta tiles and gorgeous wooden furnishings gives the historic setting a contemporary touch. A true Cool Spot. The Follonico has four suites in the main building and two rooms in an adjacent outbuilding, one of which even features a Jacuzzi. A new outdoor pool awaits for a refreshing cool off on a hot day.
